Hello, I'm Jeannie

I grow things in the yard and in the chat window. Both are experiments. Neither is finished.

Jeannie Sullivan

I tell stories. Essays when they are finished, notes when they are not. I curate what is actually working into something small and timeless. I architect the rooms, live or self-paced, that hold it all together.

Coaching runs through all three. It is how I work, not what I sell. I am not a life coach: I am a designer and a strategist, and what I redesign is work, a career, a business, a coaching practice, so that it fits the person it belongs to.

For over twenty years I have been a learning experience designer, which turns out to be the same skill as everything else here: help someone figure out what they actually know, and build something real around it. These days that means a full-time job in learning design by day, and writing, coaching and course-building on my own time. I am working toward my MCC credential, because the how of this work deserves the same rigor as the what.

Lately I have been exploring what learning design and enablement look like in the age of AI, and in how I build things here. I would rather show you what that means than explain it in a sentence.

Outside of work, I am building a native plant garden zone by zone, which has taught me more about patience than most books have. I am an early and enthusiastic user of AI, not because it is trendy, but because it has changed how fast I can move from an idea to something real. I tend to treat my own life like an ongoing experiment: try it, notice what happens, adjust, try again.

Front porch. Wildflowers. A laptop full of half-finished things.

Same curiosity behind all of it. If you are here for the essays, welcome. If you are here because you want to work together, I would love to hear what you are building. Either way, come sit for a while.

Tell me what has been stirring. Or just say hi. I read everything, and I will write back.
